Class Details:

This 6-week class is designed to create a portfolio for homeschooled children that will be ready for any school review. In this class, we will cover a wide variety of art styles, techniques, materials, and art history. Every week, homeschooled students in grades Kindergarten through 8 will explore the world of fine arts with different mediums and styles, with each six-week course focusing on a wide variety of materials and mediums. Weekly projects might include drawing, painting, fiber, clay, or collage, and students will also learn about the artists and art history related to the weekly projects.

Projects for younger students are designed to refine skills such as using rulers and scissors and learning color theory through color mixing. Older students will focus on core concepts from the Elements of Art and Principles of Design through projects such as perspective and portraits and will also work on describing their work in their portfolio.

We currently offer one time slot on Thursdays, with each 1-hour class guided by one of ACE’s experienced arts instructors. All students will enjoy a welcoming and fun setting, learning with and through art! Scroll down for more info and upcoming class dates!

• Block 1:  January 12, 19, 26 and February 2, 9, 16— This Block has ENDED.

• Block 2: March 2, 9, 16, 23, 30 and April 6— This Block has ENDED.

• Block 3: April 20, 27 and May 4, 11, 18, 25— This Block has ENDED.

• No Classes for June/July— Summer Break

• Block 4: August 10, 17, 24, 31 and September 7, 14— This Block has ENDED.

• Block 5: September 21, 28 and October 5, 12, 19, 26— This Block is FULL.

• Block 6: November 2, 9, 16, 30 and December 7, 14— No Class November 23— Thanksgiving Break

• No Classes after December 14— Winter Break

Class Time Each Week (For Grades K-8):

• 11:00am-12:00pm

Cost:  

• $90/student for a full 6-weeks of classes ($15/student/hour) with all materials provided!

• Household Discount: ACE offers a discount of $15 for each additional student from the same household ($75/additional student). 

• PCA Charter Schools Partnership: Studio ACE has been approved as a preferred Vendor for Pacific Coast Academy (PCA) Charter Schools. Effective immediately, PCA students can apply for approval to take ACE art classes, which will be listed in detail on PCA's Parent Hub Site. Interested parents/students should contact their Home School Teacher for details. Once approved, an "Enrichment Certificate" will need to be submitted to Studio ACE before registering for classes. Please feel free to email info@studioace.org with any questions or for more information.

Notes:

• Participants must purchase a full 6-weeks of classes (no per class purchase option).

  • Sign ups may be possible up to week 4, please email for details about this option.

• We do not offer refunds but are happy to accommodate one (1) make up class.

• Maximum number of students per class is 10.

• It is recommended to wear clothing which can be stained or soiled!
