The Power of Arts Education
At Studio ACE, we believe that art has the power to transform lives, foster creativity, and build stronger communities. Arts education is more than just learning to draw or paint—it nurtures critical thinking, problem-solving, and emotional expression. Engaging in the arts boosts confidence, encourages collaboration, and provides a sense of belonging for people of all ages and abilities. With a focus on accessibility, creativity, and community, Studio ACE is dedicated to ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to experience the joy and benefits of artistic expression.
Studio ACE has four main areas of programming relating to arts education:
ACE Art Classes
Our storefront classroom is a vibrant space where artists of all ages and skill levels can explore their creativity through affordable art classes. Adult class fees directly support youth programming, and children’s classes are further subsidized by a generous donor to help keep them accessible. Whether you're picking up a paintbrush for the first time or refining your artistic skills, ACE’s welcoming environment ensures that everyone has a place to create.
ACE Art Shop & Gallery
Launched in 2023, the ACE Art Shop is a curated marketplace that supports local artists by showcasing and selling their work. This space not only celebrates creativity but also helps fund ACE programming. In addition, our Gently Used Art Supplies section offers donated materials at discounted prices, with 100% of the proceeds going directly to ACE’s mission.
In 2024, we proudly introduced the ACE Gallery, a dedicated exhibition space featuring rotating exhibitions, juried shows, and collaborative community displays. The gallery provides a platform for both emerging and established artists while reinforcing our commitment to arts education.
Festivals & Collaborations
Art thrives in community experiences, and Studio ACE is proud to participate in local festivals, art walks, and cultural events by offering free, hands-on arts activities for attendees. We actively seek out collaboration with other community organizations to bring art into the heart of our community. To date, ACE has partnered with over 60 organizations such as the Oceanside Public Library, Oceanside Cultural Arts Foundation, City of Oceanside, Buena Vista Nature Center, Museum of Making Music, and many more. See the full list here: Studio ACE Partnerships.
Valley Arts Festival
One of ACE’s most meaningful collaborations is with the San Luis Rey Band of Mission Indians in presenting Valley Arts Festival (VAF). VAF made its debut as an annual festival in 2021, presenting a celebration of Oceanside and its first peoples, today known as the San Luis Rey Band of Mission Indians, one of the seven tribes of the Luiseño nation. VAF aims to help support and celebrate the indigenous population that lived on the land now known as Oceanside for over 10,000 years, and to educate the community on the beauty and the strength of this amazing culture. A portion of proceeds from the festival are donated to the San Luis Rey Mission Indian Foundation each year for enrichment programs. Read more about VAF here.
At Studio ACE, we are dedicated to making the arts accessible, meaningful, and a catalyst for positive change. Whether through classes, exhibitions, or community partnerships, we continually strive to connect, inspire, and enrich lives through Arts, Community, and Education because we believe that Art Covers Everything (ACE)!
