Class meets 3 times per month on Mondays on the following dates:

Limit: 20 Students

Artist & Instructor Mikey Kettinger
About The Instructor:
Mikey Kettinger is a conceptual pop artist (painting, interactive street art) who emphasizes the creation of experiences over objects, and inspiration over decoration. His life experiences have allowed him to travel and live in a wide range of locations, within a variety of cultures. Born in Miami in 1986, Mikey has lived in Southern California, Chicago, North Carolina, Colorado, Italia, Utah, and Florida. His academic background includes credits from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, University of Denver, Florida State University, and a Masters of Fine Art from Utah State University, where he was recruited to integrate art with Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics. (STEM). Mikey’s artwork has been shown in museums, galleries, universities, festivals, forests, and streets around the USA, and internationally in Zaqistan and Sweden. He currently creates and teaches art every day at his studio in Solana Beach, California.
Artist Statement:
“My art is a deliberate combination of technique and concept that creates a sense of expression and accessibility between the artist and audience. I often use humor and exaggerated elements of art to promote a sense of emotion and energy. “
